American Express Membership Rewards - Using MR for AMEX Travel

Has anybody here used MR points to pay for an airline ticket on AMEX Travel? The website says that you pay for the ticket upfront, then a credit is posted to your account for the points you applied to the ticket. The real question is how does the online reciept look like? Does it show that you paid the full amount? Is there any indication that points have been applied as payment?

I have a corporate card that I get reimbursed directly through expense reports and I'm responsible for paying the account off each month. I have a ton of MR points, but there isn't anything I really want in the catalog. Wondering if I can cash out by using them toward a flight that I will end up expensing anyhow? I do pay for the MR program myself, so the points are mine.

I recently purchased three tickets with points a couple of months ago, and unfortunately, I deleted all of the email receipts but I am certain that the online receipt looked no different than if I had paid cash. No indication that points were used at all. The point deduction is only shown in the MR section of your online account. On my monthly statement there was a charge that appeared the same way - straight transaction, followed by a credit in the same amount.
