Hilton HHonors - status changing during a stay

I'm sure it's been asked before but what is the policy if your status changes during a stay.

I've been gold for a couple of years but was downgraded to silver a couple of months ago and placed on the fast track to gold. I've an upcoming stay for 8 nights but only need 3 nights to get the required number of nights to get gold.

Will they offer me the gold benefits for any or all of my stay?

Probably not since they don't post the credits until a few days after your checkout. You state you were Gold until a few months ago? Or was that back in April when the annual expiration was? If your "old" Gold card shows expiration in 2007, just show the card and you may get it passed off as a computer glitch. Worked for me before I requalified after getting dropped from the Chairman fast track.

(Note to Hilton, I've requalified twice since that "teaser" got me hooked, so perhaps rethink promos to hook members).

When you check in ask for the manager and explain your situation. I'd bet you get a positive response.
