I received an e-mail yesterday regarding a promotion for the remainder of the year, triple dollars for the remainder of the year:

Earn triple Award Dollars on retail purchases for the next two months.

You like to shop, and we like to reward you for it. Simply register your JetBlue Card from American Express now and use it to revamp your winter wardrobe, nab some new wet-weather gear, or bring home a new flat-screen TV to watch all your favorite shows.

Why? Because you can earn three Award Dollars for every eligible dollar you spend at retailers during November and December. Which means you can earn TrueBlue® points three times as fast. To activate this offer, have your Card handy and click here or call toll free: 1-866-537-1403.

Sincerely,
The JetBlue Card from American Express

P.S. Remember, as a JetBlue Cardmember, every TrueBlue point you earn (by using your Card or flying JetBlue®) extends the life of all your points. As if you needed another reason to shop.(1)

Anyone else get an email like this? I don't see a link to it anywhere on Jetblue or Amex's websties, so I'm a bit skeptical to call the number....

I prefer to use my Amex. Platinum card instead..this way you can use your milage reward points for whatever you choose..you get American Express service and much more flexable benefits including use of Any airline..I wouldnt use an airline branded card when you can get the best of both worlds.. @:-)

While you make some valid points regarding non-airline-branded cards, you should keep in mind some of the following:

1. Some people are VERY loyal to one specific airline (oor hotel chain, cruise line, store, etc., etc., etc.) therefore they earn more benefits and perks when using the card of that specific company.

2. Not everyone can afford the higher fee of the AMEX Platinum. Although it is a GREAT card, the $40 annual fee of the jetBlue AMEX is much more affordable to some.

3. Basically every airline has a co-branded credit card, including Continental - the airline which you work for or support.

I like my jetBlue AMEX for several reasons. Since jetBlue is my primary airline of choice for domestic flights, I earn an unbeatable Membership Rewards:TrueBlue points ration of 200:1. That's about 20,000 "miles" for a free ticket as opposed to 25,000 at other airlines. Plus, I earn double points on so many purchases - restaurants, movie theatres, jetBlue flight purchases, etc. so there really is an incentive.

The system I find best for me personally is to put the majority of my purchases on my jetBlue AMEX, business purchases on my AMEX Gold and other purchases where AMEX is not accepted on my standard MasterCard.

There are so many credit cards out there - and each one has its perks for members who fit in that category.

Well I was able to sign up and did not get any notice of the offer. Called AmEx and confirmed I was enrolled. Looks good.

Thanks to the OP! :)

3 points is a great deal. $6,666 and 2/3 (ok, $6,667) dollars spent is not bad for a free ticket. OAK-JFK-NAS return and whore it out!

I did not receive the email either, but just called the number above and successfully registered. Thanks bakerm! ^

Just got off the phone with AMEX (called the toll-free 800 number on the back of the jetBlue card) and they informed me that there is currently no such promotion as the one described in the OP.

They did, however, say that certain promotions can be very targeted to specific cardmembers. The one thing that he was leery about is that the promo details was to obe found NOWHERE in their system. There are many scams out there that attempt to oget your card number and he said that AMEX would be first to have that promo registered - even jetBlue can't really offer it since it is a CARD offer.

I'll call the number given in the OP to check it out, be AMEX warned me to be very cautious of giving out the card number and other info to unkown parties.

On the plus side...very brief info on another upcoming promotion. 10 TrueBlue points will be earned per referral (up to 4 max) for something to do with Hilton.

Hey jetBlueNYFL and thank you for the warning.

I called the 1-800 the OP wrote but then called the number on the back of my card to confirm. The helpful Indian gentleman confirm the promo. I only asked him if I was currently enrolled in any promos on my jetBlue card without giving any details of the dates or rewards. He came back and confirmed that I will earn 3x Award Dollars Nov. 1 to Dec. 31, 2006.

I will keep a keen eye on my statement but looks good to me.

Sounds good. I was just very curious that the number on the back of the card had no information regarding such a promotion in their computer systems. Do you have a promotion code or offer # for this promo? If so, I'd like to call again and give them that number to enroll foro the offer.

Thanks!

Hi there jetBlueNYFL and everyone on this thread,
Sorry if the service folks weren't aware when you called - We actually spoke with Amex today and have been assured that all customer service representatives are now aware of the promotion, so you shouldn't have any other problems.
Here's the link for more info: www.jetbluecard.com/retail

Thanks everyone! Happy purchasing! (I don't feel so bad about spending so much money this past weekend now!)

Also starting soon again, show your jetBlue AMEX card onboard and get a free "adult beverage" of your choice.

Hmmm. So you earn Award Dollars on the first $60,000 of spending.

MAY repay my account as at work we are buying new computers, etc; retail stuff. So if my spend comes to $60,000 or over in this period (and I go my card Nov. 1 so no other spend outside the period), would I earn 9 tickets/900 TB points?

Seems the promotion isn't valid for the JetBlue Small Business Card, according to AMEX.

Maximum award dollar $20,000

so... $20,000/3 = $6,666.66 is the maximum
