Hilton HHonors - way to force an award reservation as Diamond member

Good evening all,

I'm new on the forum. This forum is very nice, including some many intersting informations.

Let me explain you my trouble:

I've tried to book a 7 nights award on line GLONP2 at the NYC Waldorf Astoria for mid of november. The award is not available.

I wrote an email to the diamond desk and they answered me that there are no more redemtions left. Only The Hilton Times Square and the Hilton New York are available for an award.

I'm very disapointed because I wanted to stay there one week with my wife as it gonna be our first wedding birthday.

I thought that as a diamond member, I should not have been subject to this kind of issue and an award should have been garanteed.

Do you have an idea to "force" an award reservation at the Waldorf Astoria New York?

Otherwise, even if it is not linked to the topic, which hotel is the most let say romantic one? Times Square or Hilton NY?

Even as a Diamond, you are never "guaranteed" award availability. The will usually attempt a "special arrangement", but a successful outcome is not part of the official perks of a Diamond.

I was unable to get a full 4-night stay the the Cavalieri in September -- it was simply sold out the last day. If the hotel is truly sold out, or there is "extraordinary demand" like a super-special event, you're just out of luck. Whever possible, even with the Diamond force, it's usually best to make your arrangements as far in advance as possible.
