Miles & More (Lufthansa, Austrian, Swiss, and other partners) - LH Lunch Invitation

I don't know for how long I have been a SEN. At least 6 years since I moved to Canada. Yesterday, I got a surprise call. ;) Being a LH SEN, I am invited for lunch gathering mid-Nov. :D But, unfortunately, I will be abroad. :eek: Any other SEN members in Vancouver who get the same invitation? :)

Note: I am glad that LH has recognized my existence here in Vancouver. :D :D

CGK - you are suffering the same curse as me. Earlier this year LH invited me to the biggest rugby game of the year. Unfortunately I was away overseas. SQ has invited me to several PPS events, so far I have been away overseas each time (except once when I was home but sick :( ).

This is funny. LH invited my to a golf outing in Philadelphia and I was gone, too. Almost appears as if they check whether a flight is scheduled at that time and then send out the invitation :-)

I always was in town when there was an LH dinner .. but they stopped the good
habit 4 years ago. Because of "internal politics" as I was told :td: .

But then, I missed so many important events in my life - e.g. hat to be in the OP's
city of residence during my PhD ceremony :cool: ...

For the moment here in Geneva ... no invitation ... yet :p

They check all reservations under your FF # and between your flights they`re promoting their events :D

The gentleman on the phone asks me about my December travel plan. I said I would be out of the country for the first two weeks in Dec to experience the new SQ 77W. ;) Will see whether in December I will get another chance. :)

They seem to be quite active with invitations toward the end of the year. I received my third one this year 2 days ago. Reception at the Peninsula NYC on Nov. 13 to celebrate the start of a year long culinary partnership.

Looks like I am gonna make it this time. They must have misread my reservations not expecting me in eco. :D

Just got in the mail, an invitation for a cocktail reception at the Pan Pacific Hotel. Ouch, can't make it...

So for mere mortals (pronounce SEN) - where does LH still hold lunches/dinners?
Canada seems to have them now, Kiwiland does, Oz doesn't :mad: , the States
do, Switzerland doesn't ... does Germany?

None that I've been invited to. The only thing I get here other than a thin LH magazine several months late (timed so that all promos inside have finished), was the one offer of seat to the big rugby clash (vs Australia), which I was away for anyway.

Uhh... if they host it in the Five Sails it´s indeed a big lost if your schedule wont let it happen :(

My mags surface with about 4-8 weeks delay. So I normally get a week or two
to fill in all the competitions and hope to win 100 RDM.
Rugby can count as lunch or similar event. I get nada here, except the invitation to
obtain an Amex with LH logos on it en lieu of my green one :rolleyes: .
