Based on my recent experiences.

Small shortbread type biscuit (depending on crew either one or help yourself from the basket). Seems to be just 1 or 2 different flavours.
From 4:30pm buy on board snacks (start at $1.50 but mostly $3) and drinks ($2 non-alcoholic, $5 or $6 beer and wine).

NZ ATR/Q300/S340 a/c longer (50 minutes or more) flights (eg AKL-NSN)

I love the short bread biscuits, that is if they give them to you. The two I have had are Macademia and Blueberry. Oh they are completely healthy and non-fattening right? ;)
BOB, not much use for me as I fill up in the wonderful KC but I have only seen two people buy beers and nothing else.
QF
The snacks are a nice topper and I do like how they change throughout the day. I will add that I have a had a blueberry pancake, and assorted flavoured danishes. The cheese and crackers are nice but were much better when they were offering Kapiti Cheeses instead of the Mainland brand. :(
Once again I have not seen too many people BOB, but I generally sit up front.
Most memorable time was a mother trying to calm two kids not coping with the change of pressure. FA GAVE her two fruit juices, sells for $2 each, and that did the trick ^
Oh their BOB for drinks is all day but alcohol I believe is only on sale after 1?

There is usually only one flavor (sometimes two) on the NZ biscuits onboard, but there are many flavors. I've personally seen Macadamia, blueberry, kiwifruit, apricot yoghurt, chocolate chip, shortbread, vanilla, and 2 other flavors that escape me now...

NZ just doesn't feed you anything really, well.... when I was on board between AKL and WLG. However, QF was keep feeding me when I had my trip to Queenstown from AKL, it stopped at CHC and it flew to Queenstown, they served food on both legs. And also QF is always cheap than NZ.

Update on this comparison thread.
Friday on NZ WLG-AKL the two cookies were Blueberry and Manuka Honey.
Friday on QF AKL-WLG the snack was a potato top party pie.
The WLG KC morning hot food was an english muffin topped with creamed corn and a cabbanossi slice. :) There are still 23 different beers inthe fridge.
The AKL QP hot food was the soup chicken chowder. They still lack the variety of beers, 9. Wine tasting was Matua Valley.
