JetBlue TrueBlue - TrueBlue points: Can you redeem for anything else other than flights?View Full Version : TrueBlue points: Can you redeem for anything else other than flights? psyflyer Oct 30, 06, 5:54 pm I have 36 TB points... about to expire. Any advice? (no MR) jetBlueNYFL Oct 30, 06, 6:04 pm Unfortunately, you can't redeem your points for anything other than flights. However, if you don't wish to apply for the jetBlue card from AMEX which will keep points form expiring, you can transfer points from American Express Membership Rewards. Not sure if you mean no Membership Rewards or no Mileage Run with the "MR" in your post. With 36 points, you'll need 64 to earn an award ticket. At a 250:1 ratio that is 16,000 Membership Rewards points from AMEX. This is NOT related to the jetBlue card from AMEX - different program. In the past before the card was released, I've found my points to transfer almost instantly. psyflyer Oct 30, 06, 6:18 pm Unfortunately, you can't redeem your points for anything other than flights. JetBlueFA Oct 30, 06, 6:28 pm We keep adding features to the Blue Card, so I bet in the future you will have that ability. j3823x Oct 31, 06, 10:08 am I have 36 TB points... about to expire. Any advice? (no MR) Just to be clear, they fall off exactly one year after being earned. So, unless you flew 36pts worth in the same day, they won't all fall off on the same day. SkaterJasp Oct 31, 06, 1:01 pm Assuming you don't have a AMEX jetBlue card... umm after a year from when you earn the trueBlue points and have not reach 100 points, you will automatically redeem those points for a lower balance on your trueBlue account and get to watch that little picture on your trueBlue account web page go backwards which I have yet to see happen. (I think thats a better way of putting it, at least it makes you think you redeemed it for something) or Just get yourself an AMEX jetBlue card and buy yourself something really really expensive ($100 worth of food from your local resturant or $100 in tickets to some type of entertainment/sporting events or $100 in jetBlue tickets or at least $200 of anything that was not mentioned) Jerseyguy Oct 31, 06, 1:45 pm Was thinking maybe to donate them to charity... but i guess that wont work.... They do have a charity program, unfortunately it only has one charity to choose from 1. Jetblue Airways Expiring Points Foundation :D fajimenez Nov 1, 06, 11:01 am I wouldn't mind exchanging small amounts of True Blue points for JetBlue Store merchandise. |
