I've been working for a few years to get contract pricing with CX and it's slowly getting better. It could get even better if I could bring more volume. If anyone is interested in pooling buying power for CX or another trans-pac airline I'd like to join in. I'll probably buy 24+ J RTs in 2007.

I'm not at all interested in people needing one-off tickets. Please don't reply if that's you.

If you buy 6+ tickets / year for business travel then we could probably benefit together. Please send me a private message.

Ex SEA I suppose? Is this with you personally or some corporation?

Also just curious, how much are you getting discounted right now with your 24+ J R/T?

I believe CX USA offers something called "CX Leverage" that offers certain discounts etc for small businesses.

CXLeverage is non-functional out of SEA in J class because the connections to YVR are economy only aircraft. CX's web site comes back with 'not available' for all flights when you try to book business class trans-pac. (It should give you Y on the buzz-buzz and J trans-pac)

It's also not possible to force SFO or LAX as connection points on CXLeverage or cathaypacific.com because those cities are not offered on the pull down menus. Also CXLeverage does not offer discounts ex-Canada so I was not able to skip the connections and just buy from YVR.

It was my years of complaining about these glitches in their system that got me the contract pricing. CX's web booking is the only weak link I've found with the airline so far.

In response to the other post, I'm not able to discuss discount amounts or details of my contract.

The original intent, in the past, was to make leaving from SEA equivalent to what I would have done with CXLeverage.
