American Express Membership Rewards - A quandry, which card to pay with!

I am sitting here debating which card has the most value to pay the old property taxes with at a 2% fee which would equal $41.

$2000 with SPG Amex = 2000 *wood points
$2000 with Delta Amex = 2500 Delta Miles with the current Promo.

Also if there are sdditional cardholders on the accounts, does anyone know if all cards have to be registered for the souble promo or just the primary?

With all the skymiles promos although not double this time, it always seems to make sense to use the Delta personal and Business plat to get the miles, as *wood does not double points for anything including gas, groceries, etc. I have Amex Plat so I have Gold *wood status.
Any thoughts?
Thanks!

Hard to beat the bang for your buck that you get with "wood". For those 2000 pts you can get a night at a hotel that could run you $100-$300 if you were paying.

actually, 2000 starpoints will only get you a weekend night at a Cat 1. (not much value)

but starpoints are more valuable in general, and personally, i would never want skyteam miles.

oh. i thought it was double delta miles. if it were, most FTers would probably have recommended that.

if its only .25 bonus, its the same value as starwood. you just need 20K starpoints to get that bonus when you transfer to a frequent flyer program. (or redeem for a cat 6 night, 2 cat 4 nights, etc)

Thanks,
I too thought it was double right now for Delta, but after reading the posts remembered that it is only 25% right now. .0097 per mile was not too shabby at double miles.
I am going with *wood points at.02 each. Not great but we are saving points for a trip to Italy so it will help a bit. I just wish *wood would do double promos!!
