I have a 3 hour turn at SAN next weekend. Any suggestions on/off airport?

Thanks

It's probably not too difficult to grab a car from the Emerald Aisle or some such and take a quick drive down to Coronado. I just did that this past Friday and had plenty of time to enjoy it. (Of course, it will depend on what time of day that 3-hour block is in... I had no traffic mid-day.)

Three hours is a bit tight but you are close to Seaport Village for touristy shopping and the U.S.S. Midway aircraft carrier which is a floating museum with lots of military aircraft. Also close are the Gaslamp quarter for good eats & Horton Plaza which is a large shopping mall -- all an easy taxi ride away.

It's also very easy to take the bus from the airport downtown.

Or, one of the best lunches I've ever had was the coconut shrimp at the Hilton on Harbor Island.
