Jim JohnnyP Oct 26, 06, 1:06 pm It's probably not too difficult to grab a car from the Emerald Aisle or some such and take a quick drive down to Coronado. I just did that this past Friday and had plenty of time to enjoy it. (Of course, it will depend on what time of day that 3-hour block is in... I had no traffic mid-day.) Zarf4 Oct 26, 06, 1:12 pm Three hours is a bit tight but you are close to Seaport Village for touristy shopping and the U.S.S. Midway aircraft carrier which is a floating museum with lots of military aircraft. Also close are the Gaslamp quarter for good eats & Horton Plaza which is a large shopping mall -- all an easy taxi ride away. dhammer53 Oct 27, 06, 9:19 am Thanks for the suggestions. Now I have something to do. ;) dh cblaisd Oct 27, 06, 1:13 pm It's also very easy to take the bus from the airport downtown. Or, one of the best lunches I've ever had was the coconut shrimp at the Hilton on Harbor Island. |
