JetBlue TrueBlue - Canceling flight. Using funds in future?View Full Version : Canceling flight. Using funds in future? tmorse6570 Oct 25, 06, 1:25 am delete ivoryboi Oct 25, 06, 1:33 am I cancelled a MCO-BOS flight and used the credit to book a BOS-JFK flight (less expensive ticket) and I still have the remaining credit available. It does seem like there are no restrictions on booking more expensive/cheaper tickets, or different routes. I would imagine you can also use the credit for purchasing tickets for others - as it simply is like making a new booking. Hope that helps! SkaterJasp Oct 25, 06, 5:08 am Best is to set up a trueblue account so when you cancle a flight, they just credit your trueblue account so it's kindda like a bank account but with jet blue credits, when all the changes I made and fare reduction, i have alot of credits on file... I use it for myself and use it for other people traveling with me... so I don't see any restrictions on them interms of who can use the credits. tmorse6570 Oct 25, 06, 11:28 pm delete JerseyVics Oct 26, 06, 12:31 am I had a real difficult time cancelling a flight recently. I have cancelled flights before and recently used those credits to book a series of other flights. When it came time to unfortunately cancel a flight this past Monday I couldn't do it online... the customer service rep told me since I used my jet blue credit and not a credit card I couldn't modify or cancel my flight online. Not that the $5 dollar difference really matter in this case but I was trying to tell her that before any money appeared in my jet blue credit I used my jet blue credit card to pay for the tickets. She wouldn't budge. --Russ JerseyVics Oct 26, 06, 12:32 am but to answer your original question. you can book flights for other people and use up the credit no problem, I've done it a few times. --Russ abefroman329 Oct 26, 06, 2:22 pm I booked IAD-OAK last summer, cancelled 3-4 weeks later, and used the credit to book a roundtrip ROC-JFK for a friend this summer. No problems at all. Only issue was having to call the reservations line rather than being able to book online. |
