The fine print for the IAP (International Airline Program) that's part of Amex Platinum and Centurion states "One-way travel valid if originating in the U.S. on certain carriers" but does not say which carriers. I called Centurion Travel, but they had never heard of one-way travel on the IAP. I could not find any details by searching FT archives. Does anyone know the details?

A more interesting question would be what happens if you try to refund the full fare ticket (accompanied by the companion ticket of course) after having flown some of the segments.
Assuming that the unrestricted first/business one way fare is half the price of the round trip fare, this might allow you to effectively fly any of the participating airlines one way. Of course, they'd have your money for a while.

Interesting idea, but I would not want to be the guinea pig for that one.

I have used the IAP to ticket o/w travel on both JL and MH.
There are no specific details. The o/w ticket must follow the same ticketing guidelines as r/t ticketing. Like the r/t ticketing, all o/w ticketing must originate in the country that you hold the card, so if you have a US address associated with it, you would not be able to o/w ticket ex-BKK (for example)
If you have any specific questions, let me know.
