Air New Zealand Air Points - UA 2P eligible for Premium Economy?

I think I know this answer to this, but thought I'd check to make certain- UA 2P (*Silver) do not get access to Premium Economy without paying for it, correct? In other words, there's no corresponding availability as there is for UA Economy Plus....
Thanks!

Nope, it's a different class altogether. *elite would presumably be at the top of the queue for op-ups (although as a UA 2P you'd be pretty far down the elite list...), but that's about it.

Premium Economy on Air NZ is a different beast from Economy Plus on United.

On NZ, PE is a separate cabin. Other than rare op-ups, the only way to get into PE is to pay for it (either fare, fare supplement, or supported by NZ Airpoints upgrade). The exception is if the aircraft operates on a flight that doesn't sell premium economy (eg last minute a/c substitution as happened the other day 767->747), in which case it may be possible that some lucky economy pax will get premium economy seats.

You may be unaware that access to UA E+ has recently been removed as a benefit of *A elite status (although it was never a true *A benefit in the first place)

And that UA now aggressively tries to up-sell to E+ on check-in for $$s. ;)

:(
I appreciate everyone's responses- I just wish the responses themselves were different!

My experience: On the NZ 744, regular economy pitch was pretty close to what United offers in E+. I understand the 777 has less legroom, though I haven't experienced it myself.

This is for the 767-300 so that might make a difference. Thanks!

767 doesn't have premium economy - all the economy seats are the same (except exit row of course).

As *S member you should be able to get a seat further forward than non-status passengers.
