Stayed at this property on business over the weekend. The location was perfect in proximity for my needs (directly across from INTEL) but I cannot imagine staying here for recreation unless as a stopover on a journey or if in town for a family function (or the balloon festival.) Easy access to and from and ample free parking. The airport was about 20 minutes away by car with little traffic on a Saturday or Sunday.
Staff very friendly and welcoming (as has been all of my HGI experiences.) Received a breakfast coupon, two bottles of water and a $5 pantry coupon. (Pantry was very well stocked and had ample sundries as well as food.) My room was very clean had a huge whirlpool tub. The pool/spa area was the cleanest I have seen at an HGI property. The free wireless internet worked immediately and was very snappy, though printing a boarding pass was more efficient to use one of the two computers/printers at the 24 hr business center with complementary internet access.
Breakfast was the usual suspects (hot and cold) with a make your own waffle iron as well. Coffee was pour your own from the lobby in styrofoam cups  so you had to get up and walk to the lobby if you wanted a refill.
For $80 I thought it was a great place to stay and would do so if I had business in Rio Rancho again.
