TalkBoard Topics - Canada posts - Either AC forum OT Posts or Canada forum (of Travel & Dining) posts?

Most of the nonAC/Aeroplan Canadian OT issues are posted on that forum, a small percentage are posted on the Canada forum. I propose that ALL topics (not dealing with AC/Aeroplan or Westjet) be posted exclusively on one forum or the other, but not divided between the 2 forums (fora).

- it was suggested that I bring the proposal here.

I disagree with the idea of lumping generic Canada topics in with AC AP forum, which while permitting somewhat off topic threads on Canadian aviation/airports and the occasional hockey thread ;) , is there to deal with AC and/or AP topics. Should the LH forum be a catch-all place to post Germany questions? I don't think it would serve the interest of regular AC forum participants, of which I am one.

AC - like Qantas used to be full of all sorts of threads that had nothing to do with AC (or Qantas). It was a kind of tradition.

Probably AC was worse in that respect. However there are a lot of Mods there now in AC, and I am sure they have policies in place.

If you look at the thread that I started on the AC forum, there are 3 responses from the AC/Aeroplan moderators on that thread; and 1 of them suggests that I bring up the issue on this forum (implying that at least those other 2 concur with that the other moderator). You state that I bring up the issue on that forum (which I have).

Should I now discuss this issue with Randy on the forum meant for requests forwarded to him? Obviously, this forum and the Aeroplan forum are not the appropriate fora (forums) to get an official response to my question(s)?

Right now there is no 'Only Randy Petersen' forum. Perhaps a direct email to him might be the best course?
