American Express Membership Rewards - magnetic strip

i used my titanium centurion card today and when the waitress returned the card the magnetic strip had been pulled up from the card and torn, has this happened to any one else? i attempted to push it back down but it didnt help, so i called to have the card replaced

Haven't had that happen yet, but I have definitely been told that they have had some "trouble" with it..I am just waiting for me to do something like this myself at the Wawa...

I've personally solved that problem.

I keep the card safely tucked in my wallet and hardly ever use it. I use my Starwood AMEX's instead and find their points much, much more valuable than the MRs. The Centurion card is good for it's benefits (altho they are continually diminshing) and little else.

Probably a good idea to use a different card. I only use on CC..I know strange as it is. I am constantly getting yelled at by my friends to get a Visa..
