SAS EuroBonus - When did SAS flights across the Soviet Union start ?

Hope the knowledgeable are here.

Anyone know the starting date for the SAS route Copenhagen-Tashkent-Bangkok ? I seem to recall it was late 1960s with DC8s, but can't find the date anywhere.

I guess this was the first route across the Soviet Union by a western airline. I believe the second was Finnair Helsinki-Tokyo in the 1970s.
