Does that sound right to anyone? That's what I was told by the Hawaiian Air rep when I called to have my miles transferred over to my Hilton account. I've seen posted here that it takes upwards of 5 days to transfer over, but this lady said it would take 2 - 4 weeks!!!! A little worried here as I need the points for a vacation to Curacao in 3 weeks...

Same goes with every other post I've read on this topic. However, if you end up being the exception, call them.

I transferred 80,000 HA miles to HHonors points last month and it took 3 days. I wouldn't worry.

Is there a way to directly transfer Hawaiian Airline miles to Hilton HHonors? I did this with my American Airline miles via their website and that worked out well. Any ideas are much appreciated, thank you :)

My husband has an AMEX Blue and received notice that his points will no longer be transferable to other programs begining in March 07. It's only 16,000 points and direct transfer to HH would yield 20,800 HHpoints. Webflyer recommends AMEX to HA to HH for 30,000 ultimate HH points. When I brouse the HA site, I see no transfer to HH listed - only from HH to HA. Has anyone actually transferred from HA to HH and, if you did, was it done via phone request rather than online? Thanks for whatever info you can offer.

Yes, you have to phone them at 877-426-4537 during Hawaiian business hours. I've done it recently and will be doing it again this week.

I have done it too --I transfered to Hawiian Online then once I confirmed them in account I called Hawaiian and had them transfer those points to HHonors no problem--fairly painless wayy to double your points

If I understand it, it's AMEX -> HA -> HH = 2:1 or something like that.
Which AMEX are we talking about here?

I did it. I had 30,000 points I wanted to get out of Amex Membership Rewards. I transferred them to Hawaiin Airlines. I later called Hawaiin and transferred them to Hiltonl, and $60,000 points showed up a few days later. Definitely worth it.

Forgive me for asking instead of researching on my own, but is there any fee for the transfer?
Thanks,

When I browse the HA site, I see no transfer to HH listed - only from HH to HA.It's on the HH site:
Which AMEX are we talking about here?Any AMEX with Membership Rewards points.
Forgive me for asking instead of researching on my own, but is there any fee for the transfer?"For each point transfer into the Frequent Flyer program of a U.S. airline, a fee of $0.0004 per point*, with a maximum fee of $50, will be charged to your Card account."
And for the inevitable "how long does it take?" question, it's never taken me longer than 10 days. The last time I did this (two weeks ago), I called Amex to make the MR->HA transfer (the Amex website was down) - it took less than one minute. HA-> HH took another two days.

Just wanted to bump this up to do a time track in case anyone is interested in how long this takes currently:
I created a Hawaiian Airlines account at 9:15AM, linked it to my AX MR account at 9:17, transferred MR miles onlineat 9:17AM (finished going through prompts at 9:19AM), they were in my Hawaiian account at 9:20AM.
Had to wait until 1PM to call Hawaiian, because they don't upen until 8AM Hawaii time.
Called them to initiate transfer. Took around 5 minutes on the phone, including hold time. Now, we wait to see how long in business days it takes for them to show up at Hilton.

I just did the transfer from Hawaiian to Hilton myself. Took about 3 minutes. I was advised that it usually takes 5-7 business days. I need them to post by the end of the month to bump my status, so hopefully it will be done with no problem. I'll post a follow up as well.

Are you saying that you need to requalify on points?
If so thats not going to work. Only base points from hotels stays count towards status qualification.

These aren't base points. Although they will help you with an award reservation or some other kind of point redemption (such as merchandise), they won't help you maintain or increase status.
But wouldn't it be cool if they did! ;)

Slices both ways -- as seven nights from Diamond, I know what you mean in terms of diluted value to the real frequent users.

Just so you know these transfers post in batches (usually a Monday) and not within "X days"
My transfer of 2/5 posted today also.

I called HH today. I had a fast track to elite that was about to expire (4 stays for Diamond). I explained to them that I thought the points would count to achieve status, and that I hadn't used the fast track. Without me even asking the rep transferred me to a supervisor and she extended my fast track expiration 90 days. Gives me plenty of time to achieve status for a Nov. trip to Paris. :)
BTW, the points I transferred last Monday from HA to HH still haven't posted. Six business days so far.

I'm not sure about the step from HA to HH, but my biggest problem in doing the Amex MR to HA to HH dance was that the first name on my HA account was truncated at 10 characters, while my Amex has all 11. It took a couple conference calls with the MR folks and the HA folks to get that one fixed. Once the miles hit my HA account, it was no problem getting them to HH even though my HH account does not have my middle initial. I know, this isn't a very good data point, but if they're not sticklers on needing the middle initial to be a match I'm not sure the extent to which they'll check the rest of the name.

I really want to take advantage of this to move some AMEX MR points over to Hilton considering that this seems to be the best use of AMEX points for hotel stays still out there (now that IC hotels cost 30 or 40k per night and not just 30k like before!)
I don't have any current need for the HH points because I am using *W and Hyatt points for all my award stays into May 2008. Any thoughts on if this transfer via Hawaiian will stick around or do others feel that it is just a matter of time till it gets removed (naturally without notice like all the other changes recently)?

Still alive?
I remember I read somewhere it was discontinued, but still listed on Hilton website as an option.
Anyone did the swap recently?

Its not discountinued at all. What has been stopped is transferring miles from
Amex MR to HA and then in turn transfering them to HH.
