American Express Membership Rewards - Virtual account numbers

Is there a way to generate virtual account numbers (one time use account numbers) for an Amex card? I can easily do this on Citi's web site for my Citi cards, but can't find anything for my Amex *wood card.

I hope I didn't miss anything using search here.

American Express did offer this facility, but it was discontinued.

I wish Amex would offer this feature-in the instances where I need a one time use #, I use Discover-it has worked seamlessly for me.

Bank of America is introducing their ShopSafe feature on Oct 23rd, from their website it looks to be equivalent to Citi's virtual number generator. You can set a max limit and expiration date for each virtual number. Looks good for signing up for trial offers and forgetting to cancel them :)
