American Express Membership Rewards - AMEX Gold Card 50K Miles Offer

I was solicited by amex a couple months ago.

Sign up for the amex gold card, no annual fee first year and 50k free miles if I spend 1k within the first 60 days.

Charged a couple k on the card, paid it on time and called amex rewards line to verify that the miles were on the way.

Was told that they should be, but there was no way to verify that I was enrolled in the program. I should wait the allotted 12 - 15 weeks for the miles, and if they don't show up then call back.

This doesn’t seem right to me, anyone have any ideas on how I can validate this without waiting to see if they got it right?

if I spend 41k within the first 60 days.

IIRC people were successful talking to customer service about this promo. sometimes it took getting the right person though. try searching, it usually works in this forum.

you're in the MR program automatically. i guess they meant promo?

i wouldnt worry about it.
