A word of warning. The ChCh Koru Club is undergoing refurbishment at present. There are temporary arrangements in place but if you are thinking of having breakfast before getting on the flight then think again. I arrived at the Koru Club level at 6.20 am (to catch a 7am flight to Dunedin) on Monday morning and was given a six dollar voucher by a ANZ staffer. This entitled me to a hot or cold drink and a bakery item. I then joined the queue to order and collect my items of food etc. The queue was about 12 long. However I didn't quite make the point where I was to be served as my flight was called.

Looks I am back to having brekkie at home.

Hi WoodieNZ,

I was there at the same time as you. See a guy in a wheelchair? I agree the temporary system is woeful. You probably were lucky not to be served, as the "bakery items" were awful. NZ should have made better arrangements. BTW, you're also able to use the bar/cafe options upstairs.

I presume the CHC koru club is still closed. How do you get your voucher if you are transferring at CHC?

thanks - should be easy to spot whether arriving on a jet or prop service

Does anyone know if there are any changes planned to the CHC international lounge any time soon? Specifically, will it be business as usual in the international lounge on Dec 31 or will there be construction happening in that part of the terminal by then?

Plus there was some talk that the new lounge construction means the old lounge will be able to be operational while the new one is being constructed.

Really? Already? That would be an unexpected bonus... :)

The CHC Koru Club (domestic) is reopened. Quite a bit bigger than before but still moderately full in the main part (the new corner bits less full).

Its been done in the new bach look ala MEL. Quite nice.

The 16 different beers still here.

It is nice, isn't it? I've been through a few times and think it's a big improvement.

Very impressed with the CHC KC, the view of the Alps is spectacular. Having spent too much time around largish NA airports, seeing small prop planes operating from a "major" airport was a pleasure. Unbeknownst to me, a family friend keeps his C180 at CHC, says CHC is easy to operate from.
