anyone knows if 40 minutes is enough? I am trying to fit ZRH-WAW (arr. 19:15) and WAW-VNO (dep. 19:55) into one ticket, but the online booking systems won't let me :(
Will an agent be able to book this?

Yes its bookable and the connection exists all days except Mon and Fri - 40min is the asbolute minimum and any small delay combined with no backup flights to VNO makes it very tight unless you dont mind the reprotection procedures with a flight a day later.

If you need to make it on the day for sure, then dont choose this connection.

The crucial part for me; its bookable on one ticket as the system shows you the connection.

well, they would only put me on the flight the next day, so I wouldn't be in VNO until like 2 or 3 pm, but they would buy me a hotel room, right? Since I have to be there the next morning, however, the only option seems to be the night bus, leaving Warsaw at 11 pm... or is there any chance LOT would put me in a taxi?
Is Swiss notorious for being late in the afternoon? It is early november, so most likely no snow chaos or anything supposed to happen.. I hope.

They will for sure not put you on a taxi....

And the other treatments depends a little bit on the booking class and status. Some hotel room will be paid for and they might even offer to transport you back for free....

According to the latest timetable LX1352 arrives in WAW at 19:05! That gives you 50 minutes.

Connections in WAW do not require a lot of time. Even it your incoming flight is 20 min. late you can still easily make it.

From my experience they might even wait for you.

If you really miss the connection just be aware you are dealing with LOT. Most likely it requires a fight to get them pay for your hotel, but if you insist you will win. There is a Courtyard directly at the airport, make sure they don't send you somewhere else. There are lots of cheap hotels close to the airport you probably wouldn't enjoy to much.

My advice is - NOT TO BOOK connection like that. Particular reasons:
- every LX flight ZRH- WAW leaving Zurich at 5:05 pm, I took this year, was delayed min. 30 min (usually due to "traffic congestion")
- that flight is operated by Swiss, so LX ONLY could accomodate you in the hotel,if their flight is late (their WAW office is closing at 19:30 - so nobody to ask for it)
- if you fly ZRH-WAW by LOT-operating and their flight would be late - they usually propose hotel accommodation by themselves (yesterday I saw that on LO flight from London , late by 1 h, connecting pax was informed by cabin crew that he missed his flight to Sczczecin and they just arranged accomonation in WAW for him - impressive service).
