Be Warned.

I had a booking dissapear from my SPG account. Phoned SPG and booking was in the system but my SPG number wax no longer associated with the booking.

Strange as I made the booking on line in May and it had been sitting on my reservations page OK since then until last week.

I aslo checked my mothers SPG account and she had 2 bookings missing.

One I was told by SPG Web assisist that you could not view it and never could as it is an upgraded award booking ( not a basic room). I dont beleive this as the booking was sitting there fine for a few months befrore it dissapeared.

All of my bookings disappeared from spg.com over the weekend, but they are back now -- so it was the web site. No surprise there...

This has been discussed in a lot of threads lately. Usually it seems to be either 1) the hotel did something to the booking to make the SPG number disappear or 2) the SPG website is just under maintenance and not really functioning as it normally should.

OK thanks.

I missed that thread.

the main problem was that I actually duplicated a booking ( I thought I had made a booking but when it was not on my spg page I rebooked.) Could have cost me a few hundred £ .

I've had this happen to me on and off for the last few weeks. SPG says nothing is going on with them, but clearly something is. I have a dozen bookings at 10 different hotels and there is no way they are all "being looked at by the hotel" at the same time.

Best thing to do for now probably is to call and ask if your reservation is confirmed.

True but its a little too often that the SPG site is down, they ought to get their act together. It can be a real pain in the neck...

OP, I did a quick search and found numerous threads (http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=597407&highlight=my+reservations+disappeared)

Be prepared to get a bogus message from SPG like i got. They actually lied to me as per the thread... really unprofessional. I obviously didnt press the issue, but its annoying when thinking about me being a "loyal" customer having to deal with half-trues and dismissal behaviour as if I was a nuissance. Oh well.

You are correct! I have spent the last six weeks communicating with SPG corporate customer service as 5 specialty and specialty upgrade award redemption bookings do not show up on my on-line profile.

Starwood web department has given up. They said it was a programming issue and that I will "never see" these bookings in my on-line account. Very annoying as I manage all my reservations via this method and get real time information. Very poor customer service also to give up and decide that I will never see these reservations again, given the reservations are for October 2007!! "It was a programming issue" they said.

This issue is separate from all reservations dissapearing on weekends, or spg numbers being omitted or deleted from reservations!!

(I am new to posting, but having read many posts. I expect to get abused for not posting in the web issues section HOWEVER I am merely responding to the other contributors of this thread so I hope I'm forgiven!)
