Air New Zealand Air Points - LHR-LAX route: new seats or old in C?

Do the planes on the LHR-LAX route have the new seats in C class, or the old ones? Thanks for any info.

All Air NZ 747s have the new product fitted, and have had for months.
The 777s which will shortly take over the LHR-LAX route were delivered with new product in place.

nz_crew, thanks very much for this info. Do you know when the LHR-LAX 777s will go into service? I might be flying as soon as Oct. 21.

A quick look at the NZ timetable for Oct 21 shows only 747s, and two of the flights as non stop :eek:
NZ hasn't yet pioneered pax plane air to air refueling, their is a tech stop in LA.

The 777 starts service on this route Oct 29.

Of course the LHR - LAX flights are nonstop, this is what we are talking about right?
All flights from LHR to AKL are via LAX, it's a scheduled stop, always has been, except for the new LHR - AKL via HKG.
For the 21st of October their website shows the flight via LAX to AKL.
Maybe I am misunderstanding your post.

I was thinking LHR-AKL, have no idea why as your post quite clearly says LHR-LAX.

I thought that maybe you knew something we didn't. NZ buying the 777LR and starting nonstop service between AKL - LHR. :)
