From the Seattle Post-Intelligencer on Sept. 21, 2006 = "Horizon Air announced Wednesday that it will begin returning aircraft it's been flying for Frontier Airlines to routes in Horizon's West Coast network as the two carriers dissolve a 12-year contract several years earlier than planned."

So what does this mean for my October Frontier JetExpress flight to Little Rock on Horizon Air? I assume nothing since this was just announced but.....

Horizon/Frontier will begin their separation in 2007. The return of aircraft to QX will likely only occur when beneficial to both carriers. Enjoy your trip to LIT.

You are correct. The transition won't begin until 2007. And probably not until Lynx begins operating. At this point, they only have a couple of employees; not enough to take over the JetEx operation.

Should I expect anything different from flights on other carriers who use the CRJ-700? Any overhead space? Any particulalrly good/bad seats?

At this point they are not going to use CR7s. Propjets are currently planned.
IMHO, elimination of Canadair's will be a huge improvement. Virtually anything else has better legroom.

overhead space is limited to smaller bags than you'll carry onboard a mainline jet. as stated, legroom is tight on CRJs and i would say any seat not in the last 3 rows is comparable.
