I have a few hours connection in Lima between an international and a domestic flight.

Priority Pass gives access to the Sumaq Lounge in Lima, but it is situated in the "International Concourse". Will I have access to the lounge after I go thru immigration and customs?

Unfortunately, no. Once you clear immigration/customs you cannot re-enter the intertational concourse. They are two seperate concourses.

I may be arriving on a biz class flight -- and have no connection, but want to use the lounge upon arrival. Are you able to access it prior to going through immigration?

No, because you need a pass given by the airline to get into the lounge (since its private, not owned by oneworld or any other alliance or airline).

No, you will be filtered directly to immigration. You can only get back up there with a connecting flight.

Is it still the case that there is no lounge if departing on a LAN domestic flight from LIM?

That is still the case. Sumaq lounge and some other lounge called Vip Club are both located at the international departure concourse.

There is, of course, the famous "Salon Vip Sin Alfombra" *

Just in case, I recently read that last month a lounge (Caral Vip Lounge (http://www.prioritypass.com/lounges/lounge-details.cfm?loungecode=LIM7)) opened at the domestic side of the terminal (airside).

Yes, there is now the "VIP" lounge, Priority, quite small but it is there.

Biz class from U.S. To lima on LAN. Getting into Lima just before midnight and then a flight to Cuzco the following morning. Lima to Cuzco flight on economy with LAN I have the Priority pass. Will I have access to either Sumaq Vip lounge, Vip lounge (both international) or domestic (caral) Vips lounge?

Also, two lounges state 4 hours maximum stay. Would I be asked to leave if I overstay?

thanks

You can't get up to the SUMAQ or VIP CLUB unless you are an int'l departure.

I will be flying from Cuzo to Guayaquil via Lima. Will I be able to access the Sumaq Lounge in Lima? I have Priority Pass and it is listed as one of the Lounges. I just don't know if Guayaquil (I know it is in Ecuador) is considered international.
Thanks for your help.

Yes, Guayaquil is international. With Priority Pass you can access the Sumaq or VIP lounges, both are located airside.

Villavic is on the way to Cusco.

Right now @Caral Vip Club LIM. It's nice, good snacks, but it's pretty small. Just 32 seats plus 6 tall chairs at the bar. Can't tell about the pisco sour cause for me it's too early for a drink :)

Nice. And nice to hear a review of that lounge, it may be the first here! Have fun in Cuzco.

following up on this topic, I have Skyguide (http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/american-express-membership-rewards/848400-amex-skyguide-executive-privilege-club-merged-14.html) and am looking for lounge options in Lima.

On my way down I will arrive late via Aero Mexico and then have an early connection on LAN to Cuzco. What lounge options of any will I have? For those of you who don't know much about SkyGuide, they reimburse one day membership dues, so I am looking for a lounge I can get into for $50 or less.

thanks!

You won't be in the international departures zone, so you can't enter Sumaq or Vip Club. The only lounge you will find is Caral at domestic terminal. It is supposed to be open 24 hours, however they don't let you enter the domestic terminal until 2am or 2:30am aprox. Why? I don't know. A flyertalker told this in a previous thread, and it was confirmed by other fellows I know.

Worst of all is that you must enter the domestic terminal at that time (~2am), cause if you fall asleep and enter at 4am to 5am, you will find very long lines at security checks.

Not sure if Caral VIP Lounge entrance is $50 or less. Just in case the Ramada within the airport is very expensive. For one night (that usually is very short cause you probably check in very late and check out very, very early) is no less than $237 (webpage rate, I heard rack rates are around $300).

Third time @Caral Vip Lounge

They take too long to refill juice pitchers and snacks, I observed that every time I've been here. Beyond that, service is good.

Experienced exactly as Villavic described. Was not able to go through domestic security until 2:15/2:30am. Originally the security guard said 2am, but then there was some sort of delay. Anyways, the food court was open and I was able to get my overpriced SIM (chip) from the Claro store right across from the security checkpoint.

Caral VIP lounge was indeed very small, but sure beats waiting in the terminal. Free bottled water was all we cared about!

looking for lounge options in Lima.

On my way my back home from SCL I'll transfer in LIM.
Is there a transfer desk etc. so I can stay inside the "sterile"
zone in some lounge or do I need to go back out and check
in up front ?

Thanks for all comments !

As long as you are transfering from international to international using the same ticket, lounge access isn't complicated. Just clear the security and go to gate 17 where the lounges are located. In some cases invitation is required which you should be able to get it from transfer desk. Don't leave the secure zone!

Note that the transfer desk is downstairs, near the security re-clear checkpoint. Once you go back upstairs, unless they've re-opened anything, there is no transfer desk.

It is intl-to-intl, but not on the same ticket.
First leg is Taca, 2nd leg is United.

Yes, always a good idea, I had one on my phone, but that didn't fly ;)
While I've received boarding passes @ the staralliance transfer desk
at Heathrow, the one in Lima can't do that (yet ?) so I could only get
mine @ the gate when ua personnel finally showed up.

Another surprise: I was getting comfy in my seat, when the purser
asked me to step out and "identify" my luggage (which came in on
Taca with me, and they had hauled it up to the jetway for me to give
it a nod...) for security purposes...

Allegedly only because it wasn't on the same ticket, but who knows.
The luggage transfer itself worked fine after I had alerted the ticket
agent @ scl to the situation and since she couldn't outright check it
through she "promised" to forward it to ua, which she obviously did.
