My wife and daughter stayed there for a week last February and liked it...thought it much above average relative to other Sheratons they've stayed in recently (e.g. Long Island and NY Hotel and Towers). Overall they gave it a thumbs up.

Was there last summer. Nice enough property with a business bent to it as it sits in a small business enclave in Cerritos. A few decent restaurants across the street along with a bit of shopping. Public tennis courts within 1-2 blocks that you can use. There is also a nice park nearby. No club lounge but they do provide you with breakfast coupons in the a.m. for use in the downstairs restaurant (which has decent food). Smallish workout area. Rooms themselves are quite standard in size - even on Club level. Hotel generally seems to be quite quiet in general although I did see some airline crews there. Sorry I didn't take any pictures of the property or the rooms; it didn't really strike me to do so. I thought that it was decent value for the money.

Stayed here a few times in the past couple of months. Upgraded to the jr. suite all except once. Using of my name staring on my third stay before I hand them my ID! ^ Stays were on weekend so no lounge, but breakfast coupons each day.
Property is nice a quiet. Farmer's market on Saturdays in the back parking lot. Mall is across the street with a nice cinema.
Great place to stay if you work is in the area.

Too funny. I happen to be in the hotel right now. I'm Platinum and was not offered an upgrade despite the hotel looking pretty empty. Didn't press for the suite since I don't care that much here.
Check in was clumsy. One person in front of me and four people behind the counter but I still had to wait. When I was finally asked to step forward, they changed terminals making me move twice. Was informed abt b-fast for Plats but when asked where it was, was told, "It's at the hotel." LOL.
Small pool but across from a Wood Grill BBQ and Macaroni Grill.
Rooms are reasonably updated. Tasteful art. Standard Sheraton amenities.

If you're into the arts, the hotel is next to the Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts (http://www.cerritoscenter.com/). Have a look at their events calendar for your upcoming stay.

Mini trip report
Check in
The agent was clueless. No Greeting with a blank stare  I told him I was checking in and presented him with my ID and credit card. He asked me if I had a credit to put on file. Uhmm, it's right here, dude  :p I've about had it with Sheraton check in staff.
Anyway, I was actually surprised that I was preblocked into a jr suite. I booked this reservation at the very last second I figured the staff wouldn't have time to preblock me into a suite. On the positive side, I called the hotel the day prior to check a rate issue and spoke with a very helpful and polite agent. She even told me she would upgrade me because I'm a Platinum.
Anyway, no Platinum amenity offered, no late check out offered. So I said "For my platinum amenity, I would like points, and may I please have a late check out the next morning." He seemed a bit stunned to find out I'm a Platinum. UMM look at your screen, dimbo
Suite/room
The suite was pretty spacious. It's a corner location with lots of windows. There were 2 TVs, a large sofa, desk, and of course the sweet sleeper bed.
The bathroom was your standard Sheraton bath but with extra amenities including the full set of bliss (including shower gel and mouthwash), shaving cream, cotton balls, and a bath loofah ^
It's a very nice Sheraton for it's price range. $107 a night. You can't beat that. Also, note that even though this hotel offers club level rooms, they do not offer a club lounge  I don't know why. However, club level, suite, and Platinums get
1. complimentary bottled water (2)
2. complimentary high speed internet
3. 2 buffet breakfast
Oh yea, the front desk agent failed to mention all of the above benefits :td:  I was trying to look for the club lounge and couldn't find it so I called operater. She told me all of the benefits. She also questioned why I wasn't being put on the club floor (I got a suite, so I didn't complain). She came back to apologized for the club suites being booked this evening. She sent someone to give me my breakfast vouchers.
Overall, it's a great hotel with EXCELLENT perks for Plat, but the front desk staff needs serious training
p.s. I'll post some pictures later

Why does Cerritos rate a Sheraton? Certainly it can't be because of the CPAC?

The hotel is great and they take care of Plats - but it seems the experience received is pretty much up to the agent. I had a great agent during my last stay who offered all the benefits up front. Your bad agent produced a completely different experience for a Plat customer - and perception is everything.
More fuel for your other thread - Starwood really needs to work on service consistency. One hotel. Two Plats. Two totally opposite experiences. It shouldn't be that way.

If a suite is available, a Plat should be able to get it.
Some with agents you do. I think out of my dozen stays there, only once I had to ask about the breakfast coupons.
The breakfast is decent, there was an omelet station during my last stay, something new they just added?

Stays: 9 separate stays, from March 2008 - May 2008
Room: Deluxe Room, Junior Suite
Upgrades: Room Upgrades, Breakfast Buffet
Comments: I stayed here for 9 separate stays over the course of several months and was pleasantly surprised. The location is very nice, across from the Cerritos Performing Arts Center and several restaurants. The staff is very nice, I received a room upgrade 2/3 of the time, without asking, once to a Junior Suite. The breakfast buffet is nice. The rooms are all recently renovated and are all very well done with plasma TV's and updated bathrooms. For the price, very good property.
Cheers,

Another great stay at what I consider one of the best Sheraton locations in the US - by far.
At check-in, they had me already upgraded to one of the suites - I didn't even have to ask. How many other Sheratons do this?
Given my breakfast coupons for the daily buffet - again, without being asked.
Front desk staff was personable, aware of SPG benefits and pretty much followed the key points of the post-stay survey many of us receive.
After gorging myself almost unconscious at one of LA's top Korean BBQs, I had no room to try my complimentary appetizer, but I know it was available to me if I wanted it. The buffet was missing the smoked salmon tray - which I was looking forward to, but I didn't want to overdo it there anyway, as we had plans for lobster at an incomparable Viet-Chinese seafood place in Westminster.
Another visit to the Sheraton Cerritos - another great stay!

Not in Cerritos - Cham Sut Gol on Olympic (3700) near La Brea. Best BBQ I've ever had. Unfortunately, not the best place to go by yourself (as I ended up doing that night) - the combos are for 2-3 people and if you want to try more than one type of meat, you need to order multiple plates as they won't mix and match.
I had the unseasoned sliced beef with a dipping sauce of sesame oil, pepper, salt and seasonings (unbelievably good) - don't overcook this. On Yelp, everyone raved about spicy pork belly so I just had to have it and it was sooooo delicious. I was probably somewhere around 7,000 calories for the dinner - and with all that spice, I needed something sweet to cool it down, so that required a stop at SK Donuts. Needless to say, upon return to the hotel, the last thing on my mind was ordering an appetizer, comped or not - and I should have skipped the breakfast the next morning too, although I just grazed a bit after finding the smoked salmon was AWOL.
Since we've gone way off topic already, the lobster place is Newport Seafood on W 1st on the border of Westminster and Santa Ana. Their signature 'Newport Lobster' is the most divine non-traditional lobster dish you may ever have. Policy is cash only, but they will accept credit cards from confused looking 'gwyloh' - my Chinese friends just give me their card and I had it over so they will accept it :)

Stayed there a couple of times. Never received a suite upgrade, but they have a nice property so no complaints from me. I booked my mother-in-law there for a night after her house got broken into and my father-in-law was out-of-town they treated her very well even though she speaks very little english and I know the communication was difficult, because they had to call me to get something with the reservation fixed.
I think it is a pretty good location.

Quick Update:
This hotel has now become one of my favorite hotels in the Starwood System: consistent Platinum recognition, great benefits, and friendly staff.
All of their club floor rooms and suites (perhaps even regular rooms) now have 46-50 LCD TV with brand spanking new Sheraton beddings and pillows---much like the Westin with white comforter covers.
They recently added an an omlette station to their breakfast buffet, which is fantastic considering they give those free to Platinums.
A few of the Front desk agent now personally recognize me ^ When I arrived last time, a new agent was helping me with my check in, as soon as I told him my name (maybe they have cameras in the front desk manager's office :D), the agent who knows me dashed out of the office and literally pushed the new agent aside and welcomed me personally. Before I opened my mouth, she apologized for having a suite near the elevator (she knows I don't like them) and told me that she had already put notes in my account so the room assigning person would know to give me another suite, so she was puzzled as to why I still got that suite. She apologized profusely and said they were pretty booked that night so they didn't have another one available. She then took out the floor plans, asked me if I still wanted the suite, if not, which floor and which room I would like  ^ She also knew that I liked the appetizers and even though they have recently stopped giving out Platinum appetizers (I believe), she told me I could have it anytime I want. I told her what I wanted and she sent it up in no time with bottles of water ^ Now that's great customer service for repeated guest! ^
One of the check out agents also now recognizes me and whenever I approach her, before I open my mouth, she greets me by name.
They have really turned around from a property that needed serious training to a fantastic property. Bravo! ^
I highly recommend it.

My project in LA moved and I've started staying here. I'm still waiting on my status match from HH Diamond to Plat (hello SPG? over 2 weeks now...) but I've been using my corporate rate to book on the club floor w/ breakfast and water. One week I booked myself into a Jr. Suite - odd thing about this one was that it didnt' include breakfast. If they had a rate that was the suite + breakfast I would do it.
Anyways - very nice hotel, good rooms. One thing no one has mentioned that I've only seen at the Beverly Hilton is that, yes, they have the large flat screens, but (and as a AV guy this matters), they actually provide HD CHANNELS to watch! Most hotels that have flat screens just provide you with the standard definition channels which look awful on the big screens. I've really enjoyed watching MNF in HD after a long travel Monday from ATL. Almost like being at home. The food is reasonably priced. The bar area is small and strange with the constant noise of the waterfall sort of thing going on but on Monday's they offer cheap drinks and 1/2 priced appetizers.
Breakfast is very good - fruits and such but the cooked to order omelets are really quite nice.
All and all a great hotel and value for the money. My rate varies from $150 to $175 a night without tax.

My apologies for the delay, but due to an overwhelming number of fraud issues surrounding these requests, these are now being reviewed by SPG Accounts Integrity before Platinum Concierge can act on them.
Still, if you have an email address on your SPG profile, you should have gotten an email saying that it can take 30 days, or longer, to complete these requests. I would check the spam/bulk file first and if it isn't there, I would re-send the documentation.

I just did two one night stays at the Sheraton Cerritos. I was upgraded to a junior suite, the exact same room, both stays.
As a plat, I was given 2 breakfast coupons each day and free internet access in the room (also part of Club level room benefits). Breakfast buffet in the restaurant was pretty good. They even had small bottles of real maple syrup ^(goes well with peanut butter) for pancakes and French Toast. The TV has to be at least 48" and actually has HD channels. It was nice watching NCAA Men's basketball final on a large HDTV in a hotel room.
This is certainly one of the nicest Sheratons in the US.

I called the hotel earlier today to ask about this... there is no Club Lounge, but they have Club Rooms which include free full breakfast in the "Grille 91" restaurant (named after the 91 fwy?! lol).
Also, other good news about this property: free parking!!
Oh, and BTW... "FREE WEEKENDS" MATTRESS RUN ALERT!
This hotel is pulling up some EXCELLENT rates under the new "LTOJUL" promo on weekends (the next two still qualify for free weekends if you want more for cheap!): ALL rooms are $79.00!!
This includes, Club Rooms (handy if you don't have status), Jr. Suites, and full Suites!! I just booked a Suite for this weekend and next (7/17, 7/24), I figure that my Platinum status will get me the free breakfast. I'm hoping it's the "Plaza Suite" pictured on the website, but I've never stayed at this property before so I don't know how many types of "suites" they have.
And the really good thing is it's a heckuva lot closer than the Aloft in Rancho Cucumonga! :D
[edit] This maybe the same deal that SESTAR mentioned a few posts back, although the promo code was not mentioned. It is a pretty good deal!
Also, further investigation pulled this description up in the "terms & details" box of the booking page for the "Suite" listed that I booked:
Bedroom Of Plaza Suites And 2-bedroom Suites On The 8th Floo R With View Of Cerritos Center For Performing Arts.
So I'm thinking it is the Plaza Suite?! ^

Strange; according to the awkwardly worded description I quoted, they seem to have a variety of 1-bedroom and "2-bedroom suites". The first night I have one booked, they no longer show availability... but the second (7/24), they still show a suite available. I hope they aren't overbooking!

The Suite seems to have been taken out of availability for all dates (or else they just don't like me :P) and the Club Floor rate seems to have gone up to $109.

Maybe there are two Plaza suites - I thought there was only one.

Be careful. SESTAR was told that she only booked the bedroom and not the entire suite.
Here now.

Very nice staff

Being a Preferred Guest Plus, on the verge of being Gold, I was attempting for a late checkout on this stay, front desk manager stated they were sold out and it is on availability only, I stated the rules, they stuck to availability only. I called Corporate Customer Service as described in the thread by Lurker, where they gave me points for the inconvenience, since I decided not to press for the late checkout.
Fast forward to two days later, I get an email from the Front Office Manager, that only Platinums get gauranteed late checkout quite a big  It was nice for them to email, but if only they really got it :td:

Hi mikey2007,
Greetings.
How about you send either William or myself a copy of the email(do not release it here please) and then we can forward it to relevant department for a follow up?
I appreciate that.

Got upgraded to a nice suite when checking in the other night.
Only problem I'm having is the points and stays are not posting two days after checking out.

How lucky. I'm sitting in the hotel lobby at the LINK right now. I checked in 15 minutes ago. Got a junior suite with free breakfast. I brought my confirmation but did not pursuit the plaza suite since a lot of you thought my booking is just the bedroom of the plaza suite.

Showed my confirmation to front desk. He said Plaza Suite and Jr. Suite are the same. I said no they are not. Plaza Suites have dining room, etc. He said the sofa is consider dining room. I asked to speak to a manager. He said he is the manager. His name tag showed "FRONT DESK"
Anyhow, lame...but oh well...

so did he ended up giving you a plaza suite or jr suite ?
I am staying at the property now. I heard they do honor this mistake rate tho. Maybe your suite is occupied by someone else ;)

I was in SoCal on business and mainly wanted a low cost SPG night. I was more than happy with the Sheraton Cerritos. Not only was it a very nice hotel for $79 + a night, but I got free breakfast (fantastic service with the buffet breakfast and excellent offerings as well) and there is no charge for parking (unlike MANY other SoCal Starwood properties). I also got free Internet.
Another thing I like about this property is the proximity to the Cerritos Towne Center, an outdoor amall with lot of shops, and restaurant choices as well as multiplex theatre. All a slow five minute walk from the hotel.
Access to the 91 Freeway is near and very convenient. Even though this hotel is about 25-30 minutes from my client's office, i will stay there again for certain. Hotel rate inflation (Starwood and Marriott and Hilton in particular) in SoCal has gotten ridiculous. The Courtyard I often stayed at in the past in $229 a night! Who are they kidding. It was a wonderful find for me discovering the Sheraton Cerritos for $150 less than the Courtyard Foothill Ranch.

I was there the same weekend-very good stay.
The hotel was very busy with a wedding and a 100th B'day party^
Google maps had us driving 15 minutes out of our way to find a store that was located across the street from the hotel
