Hey Folks, I've just been using the Windows Media Center to record TV while on the road then burn it to disc and I'm getting a little tired of it's limitations and time it takes. Any know of a better software program to use for this? I use a tuner on my laptop and just hook up the coaxile cable into the unit to record like sports or such to watch later or at home where we don't really have much sports on TV as I'm overseas.
I tried to RTFF and do a search but search is down. Any suggestions is greatly appreciated as I don't always trust the test results on line.

try the snapstream recorder. If you have the hardware you need, it runs about 25$ after discount.

Thanks, found it but I only found it for about 70 bucks. However price isn't the deciding factor so it's not a big deal. I should have all the hardware, use an HP big big laptop with a TV tuner and such for it. Gonna try to download it shortly but it's like 55 mb and I only have  dialup  Thanks again.

yeah, sorry.
the 25$ AR rebates ended 8/31/06. There was a 30$ from SS, and another 25$ from snapstream.
It should come up again soon, I have never paid more than 25$ for this product. Sometimes, with no rebate.

No problem at all, thanks for the update, just wanted to make sure I was looking at the same thing you were talking about and not a stripped down version or basic version of the software.
