From this morning's Financial Times: "Anti-terrorist security hand luggage restrictions on airlines flying from UK airports are expected to be relaxed within days, according to officials in London."
I don't see anything about this on the DfT's website. Dare I hope that my upcoming PHL-LHR-WAW flight on Sept. 23-24 will allow me the thrill of carrying on my rollaboard?

So he was wrong :(
They still had the stupid carryon restriction today. I have 8300-9000 miles each left to book on AA and UA to get to EXP and 1K. I was planning convoluted London runs. No more, decided while waiting in line this morning at LHR. I need a new place for MRs to Europe. Im dont with London for a while I think. Although I have some tickets booked already, including the Do in November that I am going to use. But no new ones.
no decision until at least Tuesday - http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/5343018.stm
however there could be new EU wide rules - http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/europe/5343460.stm - which, if nothing else, is going to ensure a new rant from that nice Mr O'Leary.
