Miles & More (Lufthansa, Austrian, Swiss, and other partners) - Free greetings from 2k on LH453

Hi all,

I just wanted to let you know that I got a free upgrade to F today, How? I just asked politely at the First Class check in at LAX and the agent there was very nice and put me on the waiting list. After an hour wait in the F-Class lounge in LAX (very tiny but okay as you can surf the JAL W-LAN) I was approached by staff and they handed my fist class Boarding pass…

Now I’m on Board with free Internet access (I asked the purser and she told me that I can get as much vouchers as I liked) enjoying very nice service from a really good looking(!) FA…

I complained a lot about Lufthansa in the last weeks, especially as I got three times in a row the old Business Class on FRA-LAX, but now I’m absolutely happy…

Have fun and thanks to everybody as most of the hints I got in this board are just perfect…

Mind oyu , sound more like a mileage upgrade, as they "put you on the WL". Check you account once oyu are home ... or now...

You are right, nothing has been deducted yet but I will check my accout carefully....

Don't they need a signature for mileage upgrades? When I had a "paid by miles" upgrade last March they wanted to have my signature....

Nevertheless... still enjoing the Margaux on 2k...

They never asked for my signature, nor do they swipe the card... I upgrade friends and family so even more an issue if I hadn't signed

It may depend on the station. SFO always requires to sign an upgrade confirmation sheet for either miles (never used) or eVoucher.

No, each time LH said they are very sorry but the had to use the old version because of ... I do not even remember all the excuses but fact was that it happens three times :(

Now in F I found nearly nothing to complain besides the snoring fellow over there in 1A so I have to turn my noise cancelling headphones as loud as possible ;-)

Looks like LH is getting more and more liberal with complementary upgrades :(.
