Other Middle East and Africa Frequent Flyer Programs - 1 hour connection time in BAH on GF

First flight on GF in J, in February, routed ATH-BAH-SYD.
The connection time, 1 hour, seems tight to me but I am not used to this airline and this airport. What do you think? Doable? Doable but risky?

It seems doable but risky. There is a report in this thread (http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=597660) of someone who missed the ATH-BAH-SYD connection. If arriving into SYD a day later is not a problem I'd go for it. Otherwise I'd be weary and take another airline.

Cheers

Hi preimroc,
This isn't scientific, but on another of my BAH-SYD flights, the last (late) ones onboard into J had arrived from ATH. The BAH departure was already running late, so in that case the flight was held over. This was in January, in case this helps.
Good luck ^

You should be fine. The ATH-BAH and BAH-SYD flights are codeshare flights with Olympic. I would think they would go the extra mile to hold the BAH-SYD flight for incoming ATH pax. Otherwise, kind of defeats the purpose of the codeshare.

GF always seems to hold flights, meaning those of us who were on time, or originating our journey in BAH end up waiting, sometimes longer than the actual flight time. GRRRRR!

Just did 15 flights and had as little as 40 min connections and no probs.

CJ,
How many miles did you rack up, after the bonuses? Surely a couple thousand loyalty points too?
I look forward to your future reviews of the flights, especially the flights ex-SYD and back ^ .

Any surprises? Did the staff work competently to be able to provide what you might expect?

Looking forward to October - one month til BEY's SYD Do :)
