Frontier Airlines EarlyReturns - Why did Frontier get rid of the RapidAscent program?
I am an EXPLAT on AA. I sent an E-mail to Frontier asking about switching over and how if I could hit their Summit tier on a fast track. Their response was that they terminated the program at the end of 2005. No other explanation. You would think that they would want my (and some of my co-workers) business.

F9 probably wasn't drawing enough FF members into the program using rapid assent. I know that as an AA member, you probably weren't the target (which would naturally be UA) for the program. In addition, it slights faithful customers who fly F9 on a regular basis by rewarding people who fly to Europe or Asia on a milage run 2x a year on another airline.

Just to clarify in 2005 I flew 38 segments within the US/Canada and 6 international

I'm an AA Plat with around 75K a year who is reloing to Denver. My options will be to stay AA (not the best connections for my flying - particularly regional) or to switch to F9 or UA. I think UA will comp status but am I correct that F9 won't?
Also, I haven't flown F9 before. Is there a F section?

you may have to try more than once. For example, I was comped ascent two years ago. I did not qualify last year but came close, I sent a letter, fax and email requesting ascent again, explaining to them why I did not make it and what my future travel plans were. They comped me ascent again. I will qualify this year.
