Anyone stayed here lately with any good/bad experiences?

Do they have a "true" executive level?

I felt bad that you had no replies so I thought I might help. Living in Atl I generally know less about local properties, but since I don't live that far from this property I stopped in to give them a "once over" for you.
A nice hotel with a suburban feel to it. I asked to see a room and was shown a clean and recently rennovated room. No executive level lounge. If you are doing business in this area this seems like an okay location. If you are doing business anywhere else I do not recommend it. Traffic in Atl has earned it's reputation as the worse. Some nice to good restaurants are close by. By the way , I asked about upgrades for elites and they really were not sure. Eventually they said that they would move a gold+ into a king room (larger) ,if requested and available.
I hope this helps.

I stayed at this hotel this past weekend (1/27/2006-1/29/2006), and I wanted to add my opinion on this hotel.

Check-in was smooth, and I chose not to stay on the Executive Floor because my friends would not get rooms on the same floor. Since the Concierge Lounge was closed for the weekend, they gave me 2 coupons per day at the hotel restaurant, Basil's Kitchen. I actually had to ask for them.

The room was clean and simple. Parking was free and ample.

On a side note, the hotel lost power at least twice while I was there. In other words, I resorted to walking up six flights of stairs twice.

The price was decent ($79/night), and the hotel was convenient to where I needed to be. Without traffic on the weekends, its a short drive to Perimeter.

I have stayed there several times over the last 2 years. I always find my room upgraded and access to the lounge only on weekdays. Very outdated workout facility and pool area. Nice staff on every occasion, including when the airlines deliverd my golf clubs early one morning (3:30am).
Traffic can be an issue if you need to head south (into Atlanta) on a weekday morning.
Love to hear how your stay went.

I'm currently at the Hilton Atlanta Northeast property and am having the most pleasant experience I have ever had as a silver. I should be gold very, very soon but I'm getting some great perks.

I booked my reservation through eAdvantage for $75 and got double base points. I put a note that said "upgrade requested" in the notes field but I'm not sure if this is what helped or not. When I arrived they had a key packet ready to go. I had a regular room but on the executive floor, free breakfast in the lounge, two free bottles of water and eve robe to wear. Someone said that only diamonds get robes but maybe it is just a special robe...who knows.

I thought I'd post this...you can't beat the price, you can't beat the service, and the Philly cheese steak in the restaurant is awesome.

Take care friends
