Hilton HHonors - Question about Matching Hotel Progams??

If anyone could help me I would appreciate it greatly.

Since I am a Diamond member at Hilton, can I call Marriott or Starwood customer service and have them give me their ELITE status as well??? I have heard mixed messages about that and would like some clarification. I expect to be on the road quite often this and next year and would gladly take any elite status I could get.

Starwood will if you fax them. Look in the Starwood forum and you will see several posts.

Marriot may or may not. They lost over 100 nights business from us because they would not even comp a multi-year Diamond to their lowest level. Others have been comnped by Marriot. Search on the Marriot forum.

I was in the same position - *wood - no problem, Marriott offered me Gold (not Platinum) challenge if I stay 12 nights in the next 3 months :td:

Y\If you are top tier HH you can do top tier Starwood and Hyatt easily with a phone call and fax. Marriott would only offer second tier. This was strange as I was top tier Marriott for 10+ years the hard way.

Don't know if this helps, last year I was comped to PC Plat status on the basis of my being HH Gold.
