Hilton HHonors - Triple Diamond - Anything Special?

So after this week's stay posts, I'll have 300,000 base qualifying points since October 2005. I became a hhonors member in October of 2005 when I started my new consulting job. Since then I've accrued approx 300,000 BASE points, and over 650,000 total points ^ :D

Has anyone who has reached this level received anything special? I'm not holding my breath, but it would be nice!

What about status? Will my diamond extend for 3 years? Or do I still only get the 1 year within the rolling tier? Right now the website says April 2008.... 2009 would be nice :)

Shouldn't you already knew answers to all these questions since you are back from the future? :D

Some diamonds have received special gifts from HH, I think most people picked iPod. As for the status renewal, no, HH won't extend it into 2009 until next year.

Now for the bad news ;)
Even if you had 365 stays or nights in one year your HH status will be Diamond till 4/2008 only.

But, the members who received such gifts had been Diamond for a number of year in sucession, in fact the member who posted that first was Diamond for 6 years.

I have been Diamond for seven years averaging 120 nights and 150,000 base points a year. I have received nothing in way of special gifts. I guess I have been asking the wrong people the wrong questions.

Qualifying Stays Completed: 41
Qualifying Nights Completed: 120
Qualifying Base Points Earned: 169,159
Last Stay: Embassy San Francisco Airport Burlingame

Same here, 200 nights + per year and Nada, nothing, zilch.

We should all take a look at what we are saying here. We all spend $10-20K+ per year and we are hoping for an iPOD! As someone once pointed out, the interest on that money could buy you a couple of iPOD's. I just want the best room and a smooth stay every time and I would be happy. The real "prize" will be when I can stay home more than 2 nights at a time. You can keep the Pen and Pencil set :) .

You might also ask this forum for advice in how to maximise your points accrual. You're only getting just above double your base points. :(

Just worked out mine and I'm running at around treble base points ;)

I do points + miles as NWA has had serveral hotel stay incentive programs (100,000 mile dash / Extreme Miles). The hotel stays easily pused me into the next tier netting me nearly 120,0000 miles in NWA.

Also, I started as a base in October, lowly blue... So I the bonuses didn't start pouring in until Jan when I hit diamond.

I have been enrolled, but not targeted for a triple points (December - Jan) and double points with the most recent promo. I do take 1000 bonus points as my reward at the ES I pretty much live at since internet is included in my corp rate :)

Currently have 610,000 and have redeemed

2 x 25000 nights
2 x 30000 nights (forgot these as they are in the future but the certs are printed!)

All said and done, I'm at 301,000 base and 720,000 total so 2.4x base for total points accrual.

Factor in the miles I've earned (nearly 30,000, plus bonuses with nwa means greater than 60,000 miles)

Not too shabby for 11 months of living in a hotel ^

Take my Triple Diamond Status, I want my own bed!

I too have been diamond for a number of years, but, thanks to FT, I have begun to rethink why I stay in Hilton's all the time (I am in one tonight!). I usually hit Diamond by April. This year, I got comp'd Platinum on *W and Diamond on Hyatt. I am going to divide the business among the three hotel chains.

I've been a Diamond since '01 and have never received anything except a new Diamond card. I have a cousin who has been a Diamond for 8 years and he has never received anything either.

Maybe that's why I'm writing this from a Marriott now.

Own bed as in the one at home, ie, sleeping at home in my own bed.
