Mrs Sweet Willie and I have been a few times but is has been a looonnngggg time since we were last there.
They now have a spa and I've heard from friends/clients who have played the golf course there that it is pretty amazing.
Anyone recently been and spa'd or played golf?

The wife & I visited for a 2-night stay in 2003. Mrs. Rock visited the spa and was very pleased. Also to be noted is the quality of the dining at the resort. The two primary restaurants at AC are both excellent and there are other selections at the surrounding properties.
I have several colleagues that have played both the Whistling Straits and Blackwolf courses - - very pleased. I believe both courses have hosted pro events which speaks to the quality.

The golf courses are incredible. My favorite is Whistling Straits because it's right on Lake Michigan and offers incredible scenery. It's very tough too. I've played it 5 times and the best I could shoot was an 87 (handicap ranges between 7-9) The River Course is also very challanging and is the best of the 4 as far as manicuring goes. As a golf resort, I think it ranks 2nd only behind Pebble Beach. And if you are keeping track, I believe Pinehurst is #3.
