Other Car Rental Programs/Partners (ie. Alamo, Enterprise, Sixt) - Arrive 2 hours early, Enterprise wants $30 more for a car

Arriving BWI 2 hours earlier than anticipated, I went to the Enterprise counter to pick up my car. Yes, Mr. PHL, we have a car, but it's a higher class than what you rented. You'll have to pay $30 more per day for it.

What the @#)(*%)(*%@!? Renting from other companies, I've been early and late for my reservation. They always honor the rate, no matter what car they give me (often a higher class of service).

I walked. Found a competitive rate at National on the spot.

That's exactly what I would have done--except, I probably would have got on the cell phone right in front of them! ;)

Ditto. Had an Enterprise rep at SFO once tell me they hold your reservation all day. But hey, this is Enterprise... land of inconsistancy...

It appears that I may be one of the select few but Enterprise has by far treated me better than any other car rental company...but maybe that is because I am in their corporate program. If you complain to enterprise corporate you'll get a whole shred of deals sent to you FYI.
