Hilton HHonors - Can the 'Free Night' Certs be used on all "Waldorf Collection" Hotels?

The Certs do not say either way on them from what I can see. They certainly can be used for Cat 6, so just wondering about the Waldorfs.

I used two of the 5/10/15 coupons at the New York W=A in June 2006. However, I did book before June 2006.

Let us know what happens. I have a few more coupons that I plan to use before year-end.

I THINK oz is asking about the expensive (70000)awards not the Astoria in NY.
I would also like to know the answer as I would plan to use them in Maui to see if the hotel has changes since I was there in 1993.

there was certainly no mention of exemptions anywhere in the T and Cs for the 5.10.15 promo.

I reserved Maui prior to Sept, when it kicked in I had 420000 points out of my account. Called diamond desk asked to apply my 4 free night certs. They said no way, its only points at this property, they do not adhear to the regular point and award chart. Cancelled my reservation and booked a condo on maui for 150 a night.

Based on my experience, the answer is no you can not use them. I tried to book a reward stay using a Q3FN 3/5/7 certificate at the Waldorf Astoria NY a few weeks ago and I was told that they can no longer be used for this property. Interestingly enough, she did say that I could buy a regular CAT6 certificate for 40K points and use that. I decided to stay at the Millenium instead.

I tried use the coupon to book at one of the Vegas HGVC and was told I could only use points. Has anyone else tried successfully?

I just called and asked what was excluded. After putting me on hold for a while, the agent told me that it included any hotel up through Category 6. She said that this includes the NY W-A, but not the rest of the W-A Collection.

I didn't ask about the HGVC properties. (Primarily because I don't care since I stay in them regularly for work and would have no plans to visit any of their destinations on vacation with these certificates.)

I'll probably use mine in Europe. Perhaps Italy's Hilton Sorrento Palace?

If you're looking to go to the Biltomore soon, the summer rates are $110 - $120. I was there last week.

Enquired twice with SIN call centre, and the answer was the NYC Waldolf Astoria does not participate in this "promotion" :(

Same thing here...tried for a stay in NOV using 5/10/15 certs.
