If Citi does not offer something meaningful, I thimk a better strategy is to ask you (exsisting custs.) to share a good deal with their friends WITHOUT an alterior motive.

A request by cit to do so sans miles would go over better than a pathetic 1000 miles.

Now bribe me with 25,000 miles per new approved acct and you can just call me Avon calling and NU Skin here ;)

Incidently - cxholidays give a discount to platinum HSBC card holders, and not their own CX Visa card. I thought that this was a bit strange

I don't understand why CX doesn't more agressively advertise its credit card. In the recent Discovery magazine, I see an ad for the DPS credit card, that earns triple miles in select spendings, but other than that, there was no mention of the Citibank CX credit card. The 1K miles referral bonus and 7500 welcome bonus miles sucks big time.. it is just so ....ty.

This referral is also for the Royal Bank Cathay Pacific Card in Canada I'm pretty sure.

I've gotta agree with others though, 1000 is terrible. I always try to get my friends to use their credit cards more efficiently without geting paid out for it, but getting 1000 would make me feel like a used car salesman.

I'd need at least 20000 to sell my soul I think :)
