Okay, I am just venting here, but wanted to vent somewhere...
Arrived at MIA Alamo Saturday afternoon. There was no one in line and I was taken care of immediately. I was given a decent car selection, signed the forms, and headed out to the car. The car was the filthiest rental car I have ever seen (out of hundreds). There was grime everywhere, chips and crumbes all over the passenger seat and floor, and bits of trash everywhere.
I go back inside and go to the woman that assigned me the car. I asked for a new, clean car. She appologized but told me I had to go to the exchanges/returns line. There was no one in the main line but I still had to go wait in the long exchange line with only one clerk working it. There were several agents just standing around but I was told only the one could help me.
I walked up to a non busy rep, handed him my paperwork, and told him to cancel my reservation and why I wanted it cancelled. I then said that I would just go over to another company to rent. He just looked at me and just said ok.
I went to the bus, which they way overpacked with people and luggage and left. i rented a very nice car for the same rate at Hertz.
