8/11 : DEN-SEA : AS587 : 737-800 ^
fully boarded (to capacity) and ready to go 15 min before departure, but pushed back 10 min late due to maintenance; one of the engines was short on oil. crew apologized a few times before and after departure.

8/13 : SEA-PDX : QX2273 : BabyDash ^
the infamous domino affect...running late all morning. SEA pushed back 50 min late--made up 5 min enroute. FA apologized at least 3 times for being late.

8/13 : PDX-DEN : AS508 : 737-400 :td:
another capacity flight. pushed back 29 min late. boarding was interrupted halfway through for an unknown 30 min delay. gate agent only said the "captain has asked we hold off on boarding for 30 min." flight crew never mentioned delay or apologized for it. one 8oz beverage service for 2+ hour flight--not a big deal if we could still bring beverages onboard. ;)

Sorry to hear about your flights.

Ours were just fine...I guess we were the lucky ones this weekend!

Saturday, August 12th
Flight 236 PDX-SFO 737-400 - Load 12F/63Y
Pushed back at 0631 (9 minutes early), off at 0647
Arrived at 0811, in at gate 0822 (6 minutes early)

Sunday, August 13th
Flight 301 SJC-PDX MD-80 - Load 12F/117Y
Pushed back at 1838 (10 minutes early), off at 1853
Arrived at 1815, in at gate 1821 (8 minutes early)

I do have to say that with less carry-on's becasue of the new TSA requirements, boarding and stowing of carry-on's in the cabin goes a lot quicker and smoother for everyone concerned; customers and flight attendants.

The inbound arrived 23 minutes late from SAN, so you only picked up 6 min in PDX.

The good ... boarding, deplaning MUCH faster, fewer steamer trunks in the bins and landing on heads. And my four segments this weekend all on time!!! And we sure heard that announcement upon landing! ;)

The bad ... no water, arghhhh. Gotta have my big bottle with me on every flight. That's going to be a tough one.

The ugly ... since so many checked bags perhaps why lots not making it to destinations??? Or is it still just a hassle in SEA? Half of us without them at BLI yesterday afternoon so lots of money spent on transporting them to homes. But at least it showed up. Was bringing it home for daughter or I wouldn't even have dreamed of checking a bag.
