Budget Travel - Cheap tickets....

I need to move somebody from IAD (Washington DC) to PDX (Portland) in a month or so, I've been looking around and not sure if I should book the flight now or wait or what site I should go to.

Please help.

Welcome to FT! In general it is better to buy your tickets sooner rather than later. You can find good last minute deals if you know how to find them (and I don't) but that strategy is a gamble. I would recommend that you start with www.farecompare.com to get a historical view of prices for this city pair. Then you can go to www.bookingbuddy.com and enter the flight details and check the major travel sites without reentering the data at each site. I personally like www.kayak.com If your dates are flexible this will help find lower airfares. If you have any questions please feel free to ask.
