Starwood Preferred Guest - Platinum amenity at St. Regis?

I tried a search, but couldn't find the answer to this question. Is the Platinum welcome amenity normally provided at St. Regis hotels? I normally stay at Westins and Ws, but stayed earlier this week at the St. Regis in Houston. They had my Platinum status on record and upgraded me to a very nice junior suite, so it was a very enjoyable stay. However, they did not offer me a choice of amenity on checkin and while my points for the stay have posted, there are no welcome amenity points. Does this feature not apply to St. Regis?

Not in the U. S. - except at this particular St. Regis. It could be that they have to ask us to post them manually. I would give it until seven days after check-out and then call the Customer Contact Center and ask for a follow-up.

For the last 8 weeks, I've gotten my platinum amenity points at the Houston St. Regis, but only ever received an upgrade 2 out of those 8
