Per CX Website:

Checked bag screening for US flights at Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA)
As advised by the US Department of Homeland Security, with immediate effect, the screening of passenger check-in bags for US flights at HKIA is no longer required.

If you are travelling on flights CX830, CX872, CX880, CX882 or CX884, you may proceed directly to the common check-in counter instead of the Baggage Screening Table at Area B of the Check-in Hall. In-town Check-in with check-in bags for US flights at Hong Kong Station and Kowloon Station is also resumed.

The First Class area (once it's done being refurbished), for me! :D

I always thought premium passangers didn't have do use the USA screening area anyway.

Holy moly. Some sanity has finally prevailed!

What never made sense to me was that NW and UA still allowed checkin at the AE stations, while CX did not.

Are the screening of pax check-in bags for US flights at HKIA again?

I check at HKIA (http://www.hongkongairport.com/eng/flightinfo/chkfltdep.html) website, all CX' outbound US flights are check-in at aisle B instead of normal aisle.

Can someone post the link for that advisory? When I check the Airport Express info on the HKG website it still says that in town check in for US flights is temporarily suspended. Thanks!

Um... I somehow have a feeling that the baggage screening process is back on, all thanks to the 'liquid-bombing' crap that came out of England...

But I think you should check Cathay Pacific (http://www.cathaypacific.com) for the latest info, they have some advisory for passengers travelling to India, Philippines, USA and UK
