I'm going to Puerto Vallerta the first week in January and I'm looking for flights from New York. So far I found a United flight for $466, which includes taxes and a stopover both ways in Chicago. Does anyone know if this is reasonable? Or should I wait a little longer to see if a deal pops-ups?

Did you check www.farecompare.com ? fare sounds 'reasonable'.
Hi, luskinj, and welcome...
IMO, that is a very decent all-in fare you have found. January is still high season (Dec 15 - Easter is included,) and I don't imagine fuel prices will drop anytime soon. A better deal might pop up - but the likelihood the lowest fare seats may be taken is possibly higher, IMO.
