Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer - Talked my way in SKL

just wanted to share an experience I had over the weekend. I was flying Air Aisa (so technically not eligible to enter any lounge). Knowing that I started to shop around whether there is a lounge at XXX airport which would allow single entry for the fee. After I got refusals from several lounge matrons, I tried my chance with the SKL and imagine my surprize when I was told "no you can not pay your way in" but you can use the lounge. I dont believe it happens often, or I am mistaken?
end of the story - later, a rather large group of people arrived therefore I felt myself not appropriate to occupy facilities I dont have official right for, thanked lounge matron and went shopping... therefore can not tell for how long I might have been allowed to remain in the lounge.

You were indeed lucky in that instance. Just wondering, if paid lounge access is available, how much were you willing to pay?

Did you have any status that would permit you to use the facility? Did you show any form of documents to the attendant? (i.e. FF cards) If not I am very surprised that he/she permitted you access. If upper management finds out, this attendant could seriously be questioned.

I'd say I would find $30-$50 reasonable.

No, that's the reason it surprized me in the first place - I am *G but I had no time to tell this to lounge agent (admittedly, that would be my plan B) before I was admitted.
Only document produced was Air Asia BP
What airport was that?
Would prefer not to tell because of concerns raised by Rejuvenated...
