What types of suv's does Hertz have in the L class? What are they equipped with? What trim model/level are the explorers? Will any of them be good for 5 with luggage for 5 days?

I would really appreciate any help I can get with this.

I've seen

Explorers (XLT/XLS) in the L class, and (Eddie Bauer/Limited) in the L6/YL class
Cherokees Limited
Durango SLT
Trailblazer LT
Envoy SLE

As mentionned in your other post, I don't recommed any for 5 adults (unless you used the third bench available on a few explorers, envoys, trailblazers and the durangos but then you have very limited luggage space)

Other suggestions for your situation

Crown Victoria/Grand Marquis
Minivan
DTS/Town Car
Freestyle
Lucerne
Five Hundred
Pacifica
SUV's in the T class (Navigator/Tahoe/Suburban/Expedition/Yukon/Yukon XL)
H2
Excursion
F150 Supercrew

The T class SUVs and the GM/CV and DTS/TCAR are sold out by the looks. So what Should I do? I also believe that the Freestyle/Pacifia are not bookable? So how would I be able to get something like that?

I'd play it safe and just take a minivan, and maybe try to upgrade to something else depending on what's available when you get there

So I should just reserve a minivan? And then just see what there is when I get there?

so I should book a G class car? This will be enough room for luggage for 5 people with 2 golf bags (1 soft 1 hard)? Any input would be great.

Thank you.

I'd jump on the CV/GM before those are sold out. Perfect for five people and the trunk would easily hold 4 hard golf bags if you had that many.

That would also fit all of that luggage? and the golf bags? The hard cover is pretty long

The CV/GM/TC/500 have huge trunks (20 cubic feet I believe)

so you guys really think I should downgrade the res. to a G class car? They are showing avali. when looking at the website. I called the ILM airport directly and spoke with a agent and explained what the situation was and she took my name and said that they would give me the biggest car they had when I picked up. She said that if a minivan is there they will assign me it. I currently hold a SUV res now.

I still think most G class cars have more passenger space then the L class SUVs in the Hertz fleet (without counting the third bench).

That said, I would still call the location directly the day before to make sure you get a minivan or any other large type premium car.
