Hertz - If I use Hertz vouchers to pay a portion of a rental, do I forfeit all FF miles?
I used 2 x $75 AAA/Hertz vouchers to pay for a $225 weekly rental. Hertz has just advised me by e-mail that I am not eligible for any FF miles. Is this true? I don't have copies of the vouchers to review the T & Cs. Thanks. :(

I had a similar issue with Avis - no miles when a rental was (entirely) paid for with coupons. People in the Avis forum advised me to call Avis to get them to give miles. CSR had said they would even if the rental value becomes zero, because it's not a "free" rental per se but you're using coupons.... Good luck.

I used vouchers to pay for all but $5 of my charge last month. Booked online with a double miles promotion, and got credited for both the base miles and the bonus miles with no hassle.

Thats what I was told when using a similar cert before. Did you give your info to the person when you dropped the car off? I have a feeling that if I would have done that then the miles may have posted but HQ wasnt gonna budge. I would think that using these certs would be eligable for miles/points accrual but Hertz disagreed with me.
Edited to add: I think the cert did say something in the terms and coniditions about no mileage accrual.
Thank you, guys, for responding to my question! ^
I gave my CO FF info to the clerk at the rental counter. It is recorded in my rental agreement. What are the chances of a corporate reversal of the customer service denial? Slim or none? :(

Interesting - I've used those 75.00 vouchers plenty of times & if there's a residual on the total rental charges, I've received ZE1 points for them before. I don't know why you wouldn't receive them. I don't have any plans to get any of the vouchers in the near future (but I may in the next 3 months or so) - when I do get them again, I'll check & see what they say. From my experience, I've always gotten the ZE1 points & the rental credit for the rentals - of course, when I rent, I usually have my #1 Gold number associated to the reservation & I've told the res agent (since these are only call-in certs) that I wanted to earn ZE1 points on the rentals.
