View Full Version : Do AirAsia email a confirmation?

I booked some flights last weekend from BKK > KUL on AirAsia. The website told me that my flights were confirmed and advised me to print the page (which I did). I then expected to get an email confirming the details but it hasn't arrived yet - is this normal? The last time I booked with them was about 2 years ago and I can't remember if I got an email then!

I have a .name email address which is sometimes rejected by websites. The AirAsia website accepted it but I'm not sure if it was rejected by their back-end operations.

I know I could call them and ask this but I figure I'll get an answer easier from FlyerTalk! :D

I've booked with them before and received e-mail confirmation of my itinerary.

Seem to recall that as well, but it's been a year and memory is a little foggy ....

IIRC, just printed out the receipt and showed that at the airport.

Yes you get an Email-confirmation, mailed within a few minutes.
you dont really need it, you just need your passport when checking in.

I've booked three flights recently with them. There was a box to click to get an email confirmation. I clicked it on all three reservations but didn't received confirmations. I booked hotels on their website but did receive confirmation.

You can log in to the website and review your reservations if you want to check them.

When I last flew AirAsia in March of last year, I did get an e-mailed confirmation. A friend of mine booked using a .name e-mail address and did not receive a confirmation by e-mail. I'm guessing the system hasn't changed since then.

Thanks, I hadn't realised that. I checked the website and it shows my reservation as confirmed so I guess it doesn't matter if I receive the email or not!

You will get an emailed reservation.

The chances of taking off and landing at the listed times however are very shaky at best.
