Is it possible to do onsite paid upgrade?

If the answer is yes, what could I expect in MIA to upgrade weekly rental of "TOWNCAR / DEVILLE / DTS or similar" to FUN or Prestige collection? I'd be more than happy to upgrade to smaller Lincoln LS or larger Chrysler 300.

AUAWE rate gives me 415$ all insurances and taxes inclusive with my SK*G CDP code for the luxury car mentioned above. Rate goes sky high for FUN or Prestige. I've done rentals of prestige, for instance Lincoln Ls and Volvo S60, for about $700/week all inclusive on the West coast. I doubt per day difference could be more than +30$... And yes... I need all insurances because I'm overseas and wanna be hassle free.

I do paid upgrades quite often, so yes, they are possible. IIRC, the agent actually gets a commission on the upgrade free because it is an "upsell," so often times their computer screeen will show a minimum amount they can negotiate with you.

If you're going for a Chrysler 300C, I believe that is actually a lower class, since most Town Cars and DTSs are in class I as far as I know, and the Chrysler 300C Hemi AWD models I've always gotten are in class H (at DFW, SFO and LAX at least).

i pay 5-10/day extra for a 1-2 car upgrade. it depends on the location and what vehicles are sitting on the lot

So I guess when they say they can't go below a certain amount, they're not lying to try and extract more money from me.

Just for reference, I upgraded from a Ford Taurus to an Infiniti G35 for $15 a day. Worth every penny. LGB last January.

I got that one for $10/day at PIT, but the rate was already around $50/day for the F. I booked the F specifically to upgrade that time, because I sure as hell didn't want to drive a Taurus! F was only a few $ more than B/C/D that time, and all were so high that I figured I might as well get something halfway fun if I'm going to spend that much.

I'm not sure I'd bother to book G or I (Premium or Luxury) if looking to upgrade. Normally there's a significant rate increase over full size, and I don't think it'll make your on-site paid upgrade more likely or really cost much less per day. This is only a guess, absolutely, but there are many stories around here of upgrades that seem to be mainly from F bookings. Of course, if the price difference isn't that significant, and you want to be sure you have at least the I class, then keep the booking you have.
